Dear friends,
The Chapter II Desert, Dance from the ceramic sound sculpture series Listen, Fairy Bells Ring is going to meet the public during Artyshow 2025 at in Bienne.

Thank you so much and especially for your kind help to make it happen. Without your help, they will not be able to meet the people in Bienne.

I regret not being able to meet you guys in person as I am in a residency program abroad in China. But hopefully I could meet you later in late autumn in my back way to Switzerland.

Research on Forms of Growth # 4 (See from my previous post) draws on Green-Cracking Russula 🍄 (青头菌 R. virescens )

- a beloved species in China and Spain for its delectable taste. You can find it all over Asia, North Africa, Europe, and Central America.

It tastes a mix of mild, nutty, fruity, and sweet flavors.

These mushrooms pop up solo or in small groups in forests with trees like oak, European beech, and aspen. In Asia, they team up with tropical trees from the Dipterocarpaceae family. 🌳

Indigo Milk Cap (蓝绿乳菇 Lactarius indigo）

Indigo Milk Cap, also known as the Indigo Milky or the Blue Milk Mushroom.

In regions like China, Guatemala, and Mexico, you can find this mushroom sold in rural markets. While it’s edible, opinions on its taste vary - some describe it as slightly bitter or peppery, with a coarse, grainy texture.

This widely distributed species thrives naturally in eastern North America, East Asia, Central America, and even southern France. It flourishes on the forest floor in both deciduous and coniferous forests, forming beneficial partnerships with a variety of trees.

As a mycorrhizal fungus, the Indigo Milk Cap establishes a mutually beneficial relationship with tree roots, exchanging minerals and amino acids from the soil for carbon from the host tree. 🌳
