The Reitschule in Bern is a venue of many faces that has had a colourful history in recent decades.
Formerly used as stables and storage these days it is one of Switzerland's liveliest entertainment venues.
It has developed out of a former squat. The façade of the Reithalle is marked by graffiti with leftist, communist or anarchist slogans or signs. In 1981 the Reithalle was occupied by rebellious youths and used for cultural events.
