🎬 HUNGRY dir. Susanne Brandstaetter

SPECIAL SCREENING

When a mysterious Being in a near future discovers a world devoid of humans, it sets off to find out the cause of humanity’s disappearance. Following clues retrieved from the past – voice recordings made with prominent scientists before the elimination events – the Being films and creates its own documentary, Hungry. What seemingly begins as an environmental film, soon evolves into a scientific “criminal” investigation, revealing a hidden chain of cause and effect. We hear experts discuss the catastrophic trajectory of food politics, agricultural biodiversity and corporate monopolies, leaving us with a chilling view of a future increasingly controlled by corporate and political power.

As the Being searches for leads to the perpetrators of the extinction, its film discloses what led to the destruction of food security, to the deterioration of labor markets and to decline in democracies.
In a closing twist, the last shot in the Being’s film reframes everything we’ve seen. Could something still be done to save humanity?

Hungry’s radical use of scientific findings without talking heads is a cinematic call to action aiming to prevent this future from becoming our own.

🌟 LAURETA HAJURALLHU

Laureta Hajrullahu (*1997) is a visual artist based in Prishtina who explores the shifting boundaries between the virtual and physical realms. Through installations, video works and game-based environments, she constructs speculative landscapes that challenge conventional notions of identity, space and “reality” itself. Her work resonates with a generation that is living an increasingly hybrid life.

Working with industrial fabrication and synthetic materials, Hajrullahu builds intricate installations that blend technology and fiction, creating immersive and seemingly living environments where human presence is no longer central.

Her research spans plants and particles, clouds and computer memory, bringing together scientific, aesthetic, and speculative perspectives. Through this approach, she cultivates attentiveness to materials and op

🎬 THE ODYSSE OF JOY | Zgjim Terziqi

At the turn of the new millennium, eleven-year-old Lis lives with his displaced family in a cramped apartment, still shattered by the Kosovo war and by the disappearance of his father. Carrying a painful secret he cannot share, even with those closest to him, Lis longs to escape the silence and grief that have settled over his home. When he encounters three French clowns traveling through Kosovo to bring laughter to children among the ruins, he joins their caravan, hoping the road, their performances, and the promise of joy might help him outrun his memories. But as the journey carries him deeper into a wounded country, Lis discovers that distance, disguise, and laughter cannot bury the truth inside him. To heal, he must find the courage to face the wound he has been hiding, and allow himself to be seen by the people who love him.
