Watercolor digital Fine Art and Illustration KikaG is a nickname with a long story. A story of family, growth and dynamism. I am more than an artist.

I am KikaG since a long time: my little sisters used to call me this way.

The research in digital watercolor is the foundation for the technique developed for my artwork. Therefore, it is intended to express the texture and emotion of watercolor, enhanced by the graphic possibilities of working digitally. As a professional optics designer, I developed a peculiar care for the light and the space

of shadows, besides the pursuit for cleanliness and geometry in lines and forms. In Bern, I discovered and learned to dance tango, a huge passion and source of inspiration. Tango is an improvised dance, which empowers to savor the present moment.

Gli errori, si sa, aiutano a crescere. Commetteteli allora, ma fatelo nel tentativo, anche maldestro, di liberare la vostra creatività, di costruire la vostra indipendenza. L’errore che invece potete evitare è fare esclusivamente ciò che si aspetta da voi e quello che gli altri decidono per voi. Siate sempre i protagonisti del vostro progetto e mai le comparse del progetto di qualcun altro.

CHANGE...the one we need for growing. ☀️

I was talking with a dear friend and she noticed the skin of the swimmers was all "whitish". She felt like a lack of inclusivity... 🎨 When painting I actually thought about it. In the hard sunlight the skin difference is practically unnoticeable and I made it extra light to accentuate this effect. I was all caring about lights and shades effects and I lost some pieces about variety...
But after she mentioned it I tried something different... I am super happy of the result and I guess I will keep the changed design!

When I start creating my artworks, I close my eyes and I start imagining what feeling I would like having at my home. Art should make me FEEL deep-down a reaction. I love when people are describing me what they feel through my artworks and I love to understand which ones has caught their attention.
My keywords are freedom, imagination, wonder connection☀️

That damned fear of jumping.... Of flying, of falling.

In the simplicity of life:
We are on a family camping vacation, during the evening there is entertainment. It's high season and everything is full. He likes to participate a lot.
Oh sh**, tonight there is karaoke. After a while he looks at me, "let's go sing."

I usually always say no no no, I hate the feeling of being on a stage watched by others, with all the attention. But lately I've been feeling different: "uhm... yeah, okay!" The fear of being judged is starting to slip away from me, I feel strong. I can face a camping karaoke and from here... who knows what is next? 😂

If I only could pass this feeling on to all the people I care about!
Don't get stuck in fear of doing, moving, flying, falling or just trying to see what it feels like...
