Herzliche Einladung zur «Contact Improvisation Jam». An diesem Abend werden wir eintauchen in die Kunst der Contact Improvisation mit einem angeleitetem Warum Up und anschliessender Jam. Im Warm Up vertiefen wir unsere Fähigkeiten zu rollen, schweben, fangen, fliegen. Geleitet von der Schwerkraft, der Verbindung zu uns selbst eröffnen wir den Raum für die anschliessende Jam, in der wir eingeladen sind, allein, zu zweit oder in Gruppenkompositionen zu tanzen.

Welcome to "Contact Improvisation Jam”. On this evening, we will dive into the art of Contact Improvisation through a guided warm up, then transitioning into a jam. In the Warmup we sharpen our senses and open a space for playful exploration to suspend, roll, catch, fly, fall up and down with subtlety and elasticity. Guided by our gravitational compass, the connection to ourselves and the partner(s), we will delve into a Jam, dancing alone or with a partner or several partners.

Ein fesselndes Spiel zwischen Faszination und Überforderung Ekstase und Erschöpfung. Das Stück zeigt, wie verführerisch und gleichsam verstörend digitale Räume sein können und wie tief sie uns verändern. Eine dichte, hochenergetische Performance über Realität, Isolation und die Suche nach sich selbst.

Eine spielerische Begegnung mit der Welt der Buchstaben. O ist ein Kreis, ein Klang, ein Anfang einer Geschichte – und viel mehr als nur ein Buchstabe! Ausgehend von dieser Form testen die drei Performer:innen gemeinsam mit dem Publikum die Grenzen unserer Kommunikation aus. Wie viele Wörter lassen sich aus drei Buchstaben basteln? Wie kann ein Körper zum Buchstaben und ein Wort zur Bewegung werden? Wie kann sich Sprache auflösen? Diese besondere Show zeigt, wie beweglich Sprache ist, und verabschiedet sich von Eindeutigkeit. Denn Kommunikation ist überall: im Blick, im Rhythmus und im Körper! Mit vielseitigen interaktiven Sprachspielen, Beat, Tanz, Laut- und Gebärdensprache sind alle eingeladen, Verständigung vielschichtig und lebendig zu denken.
Die Vorstellung ist explizit geeignet für T*taubes und hörendes Publikum.

A playful encounter with the world of letters. O is a circle, a sound, the beginning of a story – and much more than just a letter! Taking this shape as a starting point, the three performers, together with the audience, test the limits of communication. How many words can be made from three letters? How can a body become a letter, and how can a word become movement? How can language dissolve? This unique show demonstrates how fluid language can be and bids farewell to unambiguity. Because communication is everywhere: in the gaze, in the rhythm and in the body! Through a variety of interactive languages games, beat, dance, spoken language and sign language, everyone is invited to explore communication in a multifaceted and vibrant way.
The performaces is explicitly suitable for both Deaf and hard of hearing as well as hearing audiences.

Vielfalt und Lebensfreude im Licht der Bühne. Lebensfreude ist das, was uns stark, widerstandsfähig und unverwechselbar macht. Beim Tanzen setzen wir Körper und Geist ein. Während zehn Monaten erarbeiten zwölf Mädchen und Jungen gemeinsam mit Choreografen eine Tanzaufführung. Der krönende Abschluss des Projektes findet jeweils in drei Aufführung auf einer professionellen Bühne statt – mit allem, was dazugehört: Maske, Kostüme, Technik etc.

Diversity and joy of life in the spotlight. The joy of life is what makes us strong, resilient, and unique. When we dance, we engage both body and mind. Movement generates energy – and a body awareness that unleashes new strength. When light, music and dance merge on stage, the focus is on joy, not on illness. That is the idea behind “UKBB tanzt”. Over a period of ten months, twelve girls and boys work with choreographers other than create a dance performance. The project culminates in three performances on a professional stage – complete with all the trimmings: make-up, costumes, technical equipment and so on.

Im zweiten Stück “Ashes to Down” beschäftigt sich Choreograf mit dem Fabelwesen des Phoenix, das als Symbol für die Vernichtung und Wiederauferstehung gilt. Two pieces, one evening: Phoenix Effect. Ecstasy in dance. The presents two passionate pieces that bring the power of transformation to life. In “Hasard & Boléro”, choreographer once again brings together dance and music from Maurice Ravel’s celebrated concert classic, offereing a sensitive, contemporary perspective on the masterpiece. In the second piece, “Ashes to Down”, choreographer explores the mythical creature of the phoenix, which is regarded as a symbol of destruction and resurrection. “Re:Generation” ist die erste Ausgabe einer studentischen Biennale, initiiert von den Audio-Design-Studierenden des Electronic Studio Basel. Die Veranstaltung bring Studierende und Künstler:innen in Talks, Performances, Konzerten, Klangskulpturen und Installationen zusammen, die sich mit zeitgenössischen und innovativen Ansätzen elektronischer Musik und Klangkunst beschäftigen. Am 2. Mai präsentieren Studierende Talks, Performances, Konzerte, Klangskulpturen und Installationen, die Innovation im Bereich elektronischen Klang im weitesten Sinne erkunden. Im Rahmen von “Re:Generation” findet “Surrealtronics: The Debutant’es Ball” statt, inspieriert von der Kurzgeschichte der Surrealistin Leonora Carrington “The Debutante”, laden Studierende des Performancemasters Musik und Szene in Transformation, von Doing Fashion (HGK Basel) und des Audiodesigns zum Debütantinnenball.
