Anthony Chit On Cho performed ‚because the machine will try to grind you into dust anyway (whether or not we speak).‘ Impeccable focus. Unclear deliverables.

How sharp is sharp? For 8 hours, Cho sharpened pencils — calloused fingers, meditative hyperfocus tipping into boredom, each pencil perpetually prepared for use. Echoing the rhythm of a 9-5 working day, the performance dismantled the myths of productivity, originality, and artistic genius through the most repetitive of office tasks.

A strong contender for employee of the month. Dedication to the task: unmatched. Output: zero pencils used.

Every edition of Basel Social Club runs on vision, caffeine, and a group of people who consistently go well beyond their job description. These are the faces you didn’t always see — they showed up early, stayed late, solved problems that hadn’t been invented yet, and somehow kept smiling through all of it.

Public Transport Project performed Basel 2026 throughout the week at Basel Social Club.

A performance defined by gaps rather than voids. The narrative unfolds not through what is said or shown, but in the space between bodies — in stillness, in the undefined movement between one action and the next. A shifting constellation of cultural workers, set in an environment where art, business, and entertainment collide.
