“The journey of Life” wall painting 50x70cm hand-painted acrylic .

Life has ups and downs. It's like a road that goes sometimes uphill and sometimes downhill. Sometimes light and sometimes dark. We are constantly asked to make decisions about which direction to take, although in reality it is uncertain what to expect around the corner. Let's enjoy the view when we're up. And when we're down again, we'll look ahead and look forward to the next destination!
And to quote L.R.Knost:
“Life is amazing. And then it’s awful. And then it’s amazing again. And in between the amazing and awful it’s ordinary and mundane and routine. Breathe in the amazinng, hold on thorugh the awful, and relax and exhale during the ordinary. That’s just living heartbreaking, soulhealing, amazing, awful, ordinary life. And its breathtakingly beatyful.”

The yellow river

Hand-painted picture painting, original, acrylic on canvas, 80cm wide x 40cm high x 4.5 cm deep

Time and time again we are reminded of nature's beauty. There is a place on earth where green fields, a yellow river and a black beach meet the ocean.

This painting is not abstract.I was inspired by an aerial photograph of a yellow river, alive with motion and color, finding its way down the ashen sides of volcanoes in Skaftafell, Iceland.
You can almost sense the smoky, warm incense kind of smell that comes from the dominating black volcanic rocks as well as the moist of the green fields. A yellow river that flows majestically through the black landscape. And all this right next to the beautiful stormy but clear ocean.
