Onyrikon Théâtre physique et métaphysique pour espace urbain et méta urbain. Compagnie née en 2015, dirigé par Juri Cainero.

Bricoleurs d’insolites rites théâtraux, musicaux, onirique et carnavalesques. Nous proposons le paysage réel comme scénographie pour l’imaginaire. Masques cérémoniaux faits de peaux de canapés écorchées vives, cloches des alpes et percussions vaudou : recyclage frondeur de matériel mythique. Naufragés dans la mondialisation de la fantaisie, nous revendiquons l’existence de braises encore ardentes sous les cendres de la pensée magique.

Iyagbon bokhian is the new site-specific project by Ogiamien and Onyrikon, following on from Le Miroir d'Iyagbon.

The time has come for the mask of Iyagbon to returns to her homeland! Iyagbon bokhian in Edo means "welcome home Iyagbon".

This return of the mask, which through theatre and fiction has become a ritual object, echoes the journey of objects from colonial looting, which are slowly beginning to leave European museums and return to their countries of origin.

The final performance will take place in a site of extraordinary symbolic importance: the Ogiamien Royal Palace, a protected historical and cultural building and an exceptional example of intact pre-colonial architecture. In 1897, the Oba palace was plundered and during the British colonisation, works of art and sacred objects were looted from various temples and palaces, including the Ogiamien palace, where the altars to the sculptor's ancestors can still be found today. The Iyagbon mask will take refuge within its walls.
