Fun fact: Despite ruling one of the world's most isolated countries, Kim Jong Un enjoys a highly luxurious lifestyle.

He reportedly owns around 17 lavish palaces across North Korea, including a massive Pyongyang compound with an Olympic-sized swimming pool, private cinema stocked with over 20,000 DVDs, and even a horse racing track.

Satellite images have caught his fleet of yachts—like the $7 million Princess —sailing to private islands dubbed "North Korea's Ibiza."

Kim is also a die-hard NBA fan, obsessed with Michael Jordan memorabilia, and has hosted Dennis Rodman for wild jet-ski sessions while watching Chicago Bulls games.

While exploring the grounds, Baby discovers the staff’s nightly “dirty dancing” performances and forms a bond with Johnny Castle, the resort’s charismatic dance instructor.

This movie earned over $214 million worldwide and propelled the “Time of My Life” soundtrack to multi-platinum status, which is still commonly played at weddings today.

The “Stayin’ Alive” soundtrack used in this clip was produced by the Bee Gees and released in December 1977. Although this song is embraced by the world as an euphoric party anthem, lyrically, it’s actually about survival in the rough streets of New York, and the band later described it as “dark” and rooted in struggle đŸ€Ł

On February 2nd, 2013, a group of teens from Australia created the first viral Harlem Shake video, getting 1M views in just days, even before TikTok existed.

Within 5 days, over 250,000 videos were uploaded with the same trend, and reaching 1 billion in cumulative views.

In this trend, there is one person dancing awkwardly for the first several seconds while everybody in the back act casual.

Within 15 seconds, there is a hard DROP followed by an abrupt cut to everyone going berserk in costumes and masks, and flailing randomly.

The absurdity and lack of explanation was the magic. No one asked "why”, you just did the dance.
The hype lasted almost 3 months into April 2013, as copycats began saturating feeds.

And we need to pay homage to this trend, as it paved the way for Ice Bucket Challenge, Mannequin Challenge, and TikTok's entire format as we know it today.

Kanye West just released his newest album, Bully, on March 27, about 1 year after he had a series of antisemitic rants that praised Hi**er and tweets that said “de*th con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE”.

There was one incident where he sold a $20 t-shirt with a large black sw****ka on his website, which he promoted on a Superbowl ad in 2025 😼

These actions lead to the immediate cancellations of multiple brand deals with major companies like Adidas, Gap, Balenciaga, Universal Music Group, Foot Locker, and Vogue. This cost him billionaire status, and Forbes now estimates him to be worth around $400 million via music and real estate.

He tried to make amends in the following months, tweeting he was “Done with antisemitism,” and then meeting with a Rabbi in Israel in November 2025 where he blamed bipolar disorder and received forgiveness.

In January 2026, he took out a full-page Wall Street Journal ad that said "I am not a N**i or an antisemite... deeply regret... committed to treatment and meaningful change," citing his 2002 brain injury and bipolar diagnoses.

Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel is under fire this week after he mocked Markwayne Mullin for his blue‑collar past as a plumber and MMA fighter.

Markwayne was just newly confirmed as the new Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary.

Kimmel told millions of viewers, “Before he was elected to the Senate, Markwayne Mullin was a low‑level MMA fighter and a plumber
 that’s right, we have a plumber protecting us from terrorism now. It worked for Super Mario, so why not Markwayne?”

Clips of the segment quickly spread across social media platforms, and critics framed the joke as proof of Hollywood contempt for working‑class Americans.

Republican figures including Senator Ted Cruz and Senator Cynthia Lummis blasted Kimmel as “elitist,” with Cruz saying he’d “take plumbers over woke and unfunny comedians any day.”

Supporters of Kimmel counter that late‑night shows have always roasted politicians’ backgrounds and that the real target is Markwayne’s perceived lack of homeland security experience, not plumbing as a profession.
