Poem vote for me

In a land where dreams are sold,
A politician, sly and bold,
With a smile both wide and cold,
Hands out money, votes to mold.

"Vote for me!" his banner screams,
In exchange for cash and dreams.
Crowds of hands reach out in streams,
For the price of silent schemes.

Faces lined with hunger’s trace,
In his grip, a hopeful chase.
But democracy's sacred space,
Turns into a bitter race.

Coins and bills, a fleeting gain,
For the poor, a brief refrain.
Yet in this trade, a dark refrain,
Long-term loss, unending pain.

For votes that bought, but freedom lost,
A nation's soul, the deepest cost.
Values sacrificed and tossed,
In power's grip, we're double-crossed.

Yet, the laughter in his eyes,
Masks the cries of truth and lies.
In the end, the spirit dies,
Where corruption’s shadow lies.

So let this image, bold and bright,
Serve as a beacon in the night.
For votes, let’s stand and fight,
For justice, equity, and right.
