So grateful to be part of something so special. This weekend I was privileged to participate in the first ever concert for Downstage Right Dance Company. The vision of Michaela Kuehni, a former student of mine, who I watched grow up in the studio, came to life when artists and choreographers from more than 10 different cities and 7 different colleges/studios came together to move together to bring awareness and raise funds for su***de prevention and mental health support.

It was such an honor to participate in such a meaningful event and use dance to bring awareness to such an important cause.

From the start Dance Tapestry has been about weaving art and people together through dance. With that vision in mind, I chose three dancers from three different studios that I worked with last season. These dancers never met or trained together prior to the first rehearsal. They trusted me and their parents trusted me. It was such a rewarding experience. These beautiful girls, inside and out, came together each week for 5 weeks, stepped out of their comfort zone and helped me create a beautiful piece. We danced to Sink by Noah Kahan and my vision for them at such a young age was to remember who your people are, when you're sinking, reach out to your tribe, lean on them for support and to help lift you up during the hard times. You don't have to go through it alone! Life has its ups and downs. Don't sink alone! Reach out for help and lean on your people! Your loved ones, your inner circle, your sunset in the west.

I could not be more proud of my dancers. They did everything I asked of them and more. (Even handling a last minute costume change at dress rehearsal).

I am so grateful for the opportunity to create for such an important cause and this concert. $2600 was raised and donated to The Busyhead Project

It was a beautiful night of artistry and movement shared by all. Congratulations to all the dancers from Momentum Dance Studio, Prodigy Dance & Aerial Arts Center, Force Dance Collective, , Starr Dance, Von Heidecke Ballet, young adult college students, and emerging artists and professionals who came together to help create awareness. 🙌🏻👏🏻❤️

AMPED Camp 2026 - WOVEN
One of my favorite weeks of the year. Every generation worships at Mission Bible Church. Every summer we host an arts camp and pour into the next generation. Encouraging kids to use their talents to worship and glorify. It's been so cool to see this camp grow from where it all started and to see so many of our very first campers step up into leadership. I am so grateful to work with such an amazing team and to have the opportunity to worship through dance.

We had 41 campers this year. They spend 4 days putting together the entire worship service. They get to choose their areas of interest and are given a schedule for the week with 4 classes a day. Dance, art, percussion, drama, media, musical instruments, vocals. I had two dance classes. I met with each group 40 minutes a day for 4 days and on Friday we had a full day of rehearsal. Throughout the weekend the kids lead 4 full services. It's so great to see it all come together. These kids did an amazing job. Truly a rewarding week. All for HIS glory!! 🙌🏻☝🏻🙌🏻☝🏻

AOW WEEK 5 - Last day of summer training!!!
We ended our AOW series with a full night of combos
First up Malachi M. Pellegrini. Malachi grew up training Prodigy Dance & Aerial Arts Center and after high school he participated in a trainee program with Zion Dance Project out of Dallas,Texas. Malachi is currently a faculty member at Prodigy, on staff Soar Dance Competition, and he's starting his second season as a member of Hip Hop ConnXion HQ.

Such an awesome weekend at our 3rd Activate Your Artistry HOCO celebration 🥳🎉 filled with dance, growth, community, and connection. It was so great to see all our AYA friends, take class, make connections, and watch the growth in my daughter and my students. Piper placed 17th, got a shout out and a scholarship for next season. We got to see Willow in action teaching and working, and taking class. Ms. Katie, our newest faculty member, joined us for her first event as DT faculty. Ms. Amanda got married this weekend. We got to see Jenny and Kennedy and so many of our AYA friends, and Bree was promoted to Industry Tribe. Such an emotional weekend. Thank you Donielle Richmond for creating this environment for artists to grow in. We love our AYA family and as we close this chapter on DTs third season, we couldn't be more grateful for this space. Season 4 starts in a few weeks!

Activate Your Artistry HOCO Celebration Day 1 did not disappoint! We started the day with the welcome show and roll call. It was so fun to see Willow Bishop and Breyanna Bernadette do their thing. We took HH with Cole Nordbrock, contemporary with Alanna Kletcke, improv with Donielle Richmond and Afro House with Kay kurns and Vantenia Kelley. Piper got a faculty favorite from Alanna, it's the first time Makenna has danced since she was injured, we got to see our convention friends from other studios and we finished the night with an epic HH battle! Many shoes were thrown! Our hearts are happy and grateful and our minds and bodies are tired. Wouldn't have it any other way. Can't wait for day 2!
