Akis Gautama started learning the art of tattooing in 2005 when he was living in his hometown of Bandung.

Akis started drawing at a very young age- as soon as he could hold a pencil in his hand. His love for art and drawing was as evident as his talent. In 2007 Akis relocated to Jakarta and began a career in tattooing, while continuing to develop and pursue his interest in other fine arts such as drawing and realistic sketching. he paradise Island of Bali. Now tattooing almost 11 years, Akis has developed a unique style specializing in many styles from traditional, realistic, Japanese, new school, neo traditional and loves creating original pieces. Akis has become widely recognized in the tattoo industry for his combination of fine art and technical tattoo skills. Akis is now the co-founder of Indigo tattoo parlour here in Bali, with high demand and waiting lists for his trait in quality high-grade tattooing and hygiene.
