Hi - I have not posted anything for quite some time because I have changed provinces and have had both hips replaced. I am now recovering from a knee replacement done 3 weeks ago.I have therefore not made much during the recoveries but look forward to getting back behind my lathe.
I have moved to Ladysmith BC from Saskatchewan and am still trying to get used to the rain.
During part of my recovery I have been trying to update or renew my website which is useable but still under construction. If you are interested go to

and have a look. If you have any suggestions good or bad please email me at [email protected]

PURPLE 2 RING WEDDING GOBLET
I made this to enter in a juried competition in Saskatoon but I did not get it entered on time.
It is made from a poplar tree with the bark left on around the rim of the goblet. The 2 rings are turned right on the goblet as it is being made. The goblet is finished with aniline dyes, a latex high gloss finish and then buffed out.

Here is a picture of a turning I made a year ago called "PRAIRIE STORM" . It has been selected by the Saskatchewan Craft Council to go on tour throughout Sask. and other parts of Canada in an exhibition of Sask artists. The exhibition will be on tour for around 2 years.
The work was selected along with 34 other pieces in a juried competition held in Saskatoon, It was selected from some 225 entries from various art forms made by both amature and profesional Sask. artists.
This was a pleasant surprise to me and one I am quite proud of.

WEDDING GOBLETS
Made these on special order. The lighter one is made from elm, the other lighter one is also elm but the wood has been burnt with a torch and the purple one is poplar coloured with natural aniline dyes.
