Want to do some baking, short on time? We have just the thing for you! Java Jack's Dump 'n Go mixes are available here at the shop and do not disappoint! Developed here in Newfoundland by Chef and food scientist Colleen Hiscock, these mixes are the real deal, easy to use and believe us the cookies, muffins and scones are delicious. There is even a sticky toffee pudding mix in regular and gluten free and 'to die for" gluten free brownies. They are definitely "rooster"approved.

Well have a look at what came in the mail today! Georgie has been busy knitting up a storm and look at the beautiful mitts she has sent us. Now our display looks like we're ready for the cold weather! These mitts make a beautiful gift or just a special purchase for yourself and with winter coming you just can't have too many mittens!

Mother, Roy and I would like to thank everyone who took the time to send greetings on her 105th birthday. Thank you also to those who were able to join us at Myrtle’s on the Bay for her birthday dinner. She had a wonderful time and is feeling truly blessed by your thoughtfulness.❤️❤️

This is Janis' beautiful mother, Eileen Page who will be celebrating her 105th birthday tomorrow, September 8th. To celebrate some of her family will be taking her to dinner at Myrtle's on the Bay in Lark Harbour NL. If you are in the area, please join us there between 7:00 and 9:00 for birthday cake. Here's something you might not have known about The Roost! We sell freshly brewed coffee by the cup. We also have tea for those non-coffee lovers! And of course we have a great selection of Newfoundland art and crafts!

Why not take a drive down the bay this weekend for a little bit of shopping, some hot coffee or tea and who knows what else you might find!

We have some of the best hiking trails in Newfoundland all around us here in York Harbour. Bottle Cove in Lark Harbour is always a popular spot and there's a great Beach for walking and a Bird sanctuary right here in York Harbour!

Hello everyone, we have some special hours coming up on this Sunday and Monday. Due to some personal commitments, the store will be open for shorter hours on both of those days. Sunday we will open from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m. And Monday we will open from 10:00 until 1:00 p.m.. We are sorry for any inconvenience that this might cause and look forward to seeing you during regular hours starting on Tuesday, August 25th. We will continue to be open daily 10:00 till 5:00 until October 15th.
