Are you a local musician?

We are still accepting applications for 4 local musicians to take part in our Artist in Residency program through out the month. Each artist/group will be offered a fee of $1000 for their participation, and be expected to create and practice with the chosen performer leading up to their showcase each week. Please fill out the application to take part in the program! Applications close October 7th.⁠

Each showcase will be open to the public at the Art Space room in the Makerspace building, for all ages to view.⁠

What a great opportunity!

We're proud to announce our new Artist in Residency Program. This November, we will work to bring up a songwriter for a month-long stay in Yellowknife. The goal of this program is to create an opportunity for inspiration and discovery while exposing people to the beauty and lifestyle of the Northwest Territories.

During their stay, the artist will have the chance to participate in northern culture while collaborating with northern musicians to enhance their practice. The artist will work with a different local musician(s) to create material for a presentation.
