🍂 Favourite Day | CSI Case File No. 486 🍂
Some layouts carry a little more meaning in every layer. ❤️
Ronda aka Ronda Ivens for this month’s CSI challenge, I created this special remembrance layout as a gift for someone dear to me. The photos capture a beautiful fall day and a memory that will always be treasured.
I was immediately drawn to the soft vintage feel and warm autumn colours of the Scene and incorporated lots of Evidence—leaves, flowers, books, hearts, ribbon and trim, wood, frames, metal, stitching, transparent elements and plenty of distressed layers.
Those hand-stitched felt leaves near the title are especially meaningful. They had been sitting in my scrapbook stash for many, many years, waiting for just the right layout. Their texture and stitching reminded me of the beautiful Indigenous beaded earrings she so often wore—little works of art created with hide, beads and tufts of caribou. Somehow, I knew this was the page those leaves had been waiting for. ❤️
I also tucked in little sentiments that seemed to say exactly what I wanted this page to hold: “Together,” “Priceless Moments,” “You Are Loved,” and “Time Holds Gentle Treasures.”
Sometimes scrapbooking is about more than documenting a memory. Sometimes the supplies we’ve saved for years finally find their story—and help us hold onto a moment and the people who made it matter. ❤️
