We are here and everyone is excited to the opening of the park at 11 am. Some beautiful art and beading and exceptional bands and music. All to soothe the soul.

Fireweed Festival NT continues TODAY — Sunday, August 23 — at Queen Elizabeth Territorial Park.

After an incredibly difficult weekend, we are grateful to be able to come together as a community — with care for one another, with kindness, and with the resilient spirit that Fireweed represents. 💚

My heart is just broken for the town of Fort Smith and all the planning and hard work that went into getting the Fireweed Festival NT ready for this weekend. There was a shooting incident last night after the opening party and almost 12 hours later we remain a town locked down during a search for a dangerous armed man who injured three people. People - including ourselves- are cooperating and remain safely sheltering in place. Love to all affected.
