🌿 From the Land and Lake 🌿
A celebration of Indigenous food, culture, and the flavours of the North
One of the highlights of the 2026 NWT Culinary Festival was From the Land and Lake, featuring guest chefs Jenni Lessard and Robin Wasicuna.
Inspired by their Indigenous heritage and the incredible ingredients of the North, they created a menu that brought traditional foods and ancient practices into a modern culinary experience.
Between courses, guests discovered the stories, traditions, and connections behind the dishes, while learning how Indigenous cuisine continues to evolve and grow.
From the land, the lake, the forest, and the hands of those who carry these traditions forward, every course told a story.
It was more than a dinner—it was a gift from Mother Earth, shared through food, culture, and connection. 🌿🔥
