Summer is winding down…the children are back in school and the days are getting shorter. How about one last summer hurrah…a jazz concert with the Jackson/Wilson Quartet at the Land’s End Arts and Culture Centre on September 4, 2026. This will be Hear! Here!’s first concert in this new facility and we are thrilled.

The Jackson/Wilson Quartet is led by Juno Award-winning trombonist Andrew Jackson and four-time Music Nova Scotia award-winning guitarist Sam Wilson, the quartet brings a sound that is thoughtful, and unmistakably its own. Since 2014, they have created an original sound that is contemporary, thoughtful, and fresh. Their 2023 album “New Doors” received critical acclaim, and since the release, the two have had the opportunity to tour across the country. Joined by bassist Gabriella Ciurcovich, and drummer Caito MacDonald, audiences can expect a wide variety of sounds, from original music, jazz classics, and familiar pop hits.

There will be light snacks, beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages for sale.

Hear! Here! is delighted to present the Jackson/Wilson Quartet in an evening of contemporary jazz at the Land's End Arts and Culture Centre in Yarmouth on September 4, 2026. Led by Juno Award-winning trombonist Andrew Jackson and four-time Music Nova Scotia award-winning guitarist Sam Wilson, the quartet brings a sound that is contemporary, thoughtful, and unmistakably its own. Andrew Jackson and Sam Wilson have been exploring the interplay of trombone and guitar, honing their musical chemistry since 2014. Their 2023 album “New Doors” received critical acclaim, and since the release, the two have had the opportunity to tour across country. Joined by bassist Gabriella Ciurcovich, and drummer Caito MacDonald, audiences can expect a wide variety of sounds, from original music, jazz classics, and familiar pop hits.

Land's End Arts & Culture Centre is offering Small Plates at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4 before the Jackson/Wilson Quartet concert. There will be also be a cash bar. This is exclusively available to people attending the jazz concert.

Good food, maybe a glass of wine and some phenomenal jazz...it promises to be a wonderful evening!

Hear! Here! presents Cindy Thong

A wonderful afternoon (though there was an equally wonderful evening Saturday evening) of music.

Cindy discussed the pieces and the composer of the pieces she would be playing and then enchanted the attendees. It was an amazing recital of Brahms, Schumann, Chopin and Liszt.
