Okay… who’s actually coming for a Claycation this fall? ❤️

A couple of weeks ago I asked you, “Who are your three?” and so many of you knew exactly who you would bring.

Well… now I have a few spaces waiting for you.

Come to rural Saskatchewan. Stay together in the third-floor attic of our 1919 heritage house. Create in the one-room School House Studio.

Eat good food. Sit around the table. Laugh. Make pottery. Try the wheel. Slow down. Create things you didn’t know you could create.

And most importantly, spend a weekend connecting with people you love.

That’s what Claycation is really about.

Halfway.

Today marks the halfway point of my 10-week tertiary rehabilitation program.

Five weeks ago I arrived in Saskatoon not really knowing what these ten weeks were going to ask of me.

It has been hard. It has been tiring. And it has also been incredibly hopeful.

For the past 11 months, so much of my energy has gone into figuring out how to keep going — as an artist, a business owner, a wife, a mom and simply as Marea.

These five weeks have started to shift that question.

I’m not only learning how to keep going.

I’m learning how I want to go forward.

There are five weeks still ahead of me. I’m proud of the work I’ve done so far, grateful for the people helping me do it, and really curious about the Marea who is going to walk out the other side.

Today is definitely a BRA OFF studio kind of day. 😂

After a week of treatment and a highway store that keeps making me hustle to restock the shelves, I’m spending the day right where I want to be — in the studio making pottery.

Kilns to load. Mugs to make. Clay to throw.

Comfy clothes on. Audiobook playing. Let’s see what I can get made.

A much happier reason for an empty shelf… you bought all the red w**e cups! 🍷

Good news — I’ve been back in the studio, the kiln has been firing, and the Red W**e Cup shelf is RESTOCKED!

Handmade, fired and back out in the 24/7 honour-system highway store, ready for their next pour.

And really… was there any other song I could have used for this reel? 🎶🍷
