The Woodstock Recreation & Community Services Department is responsible for the following:

Operation of 2 Licensed daycares, (Preschool & Afterschool ages)
Manage & Maintain outdoor recreation amenities which includes:
5 Baseball Fields
6 Playgrounds
Picnic Shelters
Splash Pad
Accessible Washroom
Mini Soccer Field
Mowing and lining of the WHS soccer fields (June –September annually)
2 beach volle

McKinley Memorial Tennis Courts
Bobby Vail Community Outdoor Rink

Manage & Maintain the AYR Motor Centre Facility which includes:
Indoor Aquatic Facility 5 lane Olympic pool, with tot area
Indoor Ice Surface
Field House (3 court)
McCain Walking Track
Tim Hortons Wellness Centre
5 Multi-purpose meeting spaces ( Sam's Room, Woodstock Rotary Studio 1&2, Gallery and Board Room)
Bar facilities

Programming
Facilitating programs for all age’s (youth, adult & inclusive residents)
Special Events

Beautification
Mowing of Parks & Green Spaces
Maintenance of Landscape areas & Flower pots

📣Attention Patrons!

The AYR Motor Centre Fieldhouse will be transitioning to summer hours, commencing Tuesday June 23rd.☀️ This will mean that morning activities will commence no earlier than 9:00 a.m. and drop-in sessions will end at 8:00 p.m.

This will not impact the other facilities opening hours; the gym, walking track and pool remain open regular hours.

⏰Summer Fieldhouse hours: 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
⏰AYR Motor Centre Hours:
Mon-Fri 5:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Weekends 7:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.

📆Set your reminder now - registration for our Summer Swimming Lessons will be opening on Wednesday, June 24th at 9am! These classes are highly sought after and spots do not last long!

💦 Cost is $71
💦Daily classes from Mon-Fri over 2 weeks
💦The Preschool classes teach basic skills & water safety, helping your child prepare for the Swimmer levels
💦The swimmer classes give exposure to strokes, deep end skills & endurance building

Register today to participate in our annual Street Hockey Jamboree! Not only that, after the jamboree, all participants will get to go and swim to make a splash 💦
📌Friday July 3rd
📌All day fun, from 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
📌$45, includes participation, swim and lunch!
📌Bring your hockey stick, gloves, bathing suit and towel

Monday Funday is back again! ⭐️

Join Woodstock Recreation staff at our first Monday Funday of the Summer, happening June 29th. Over the course of the summer, Monday Fundays will offer a variety of different activities and recreational opportunities to keep youths busy and active this Summer! ☀️The first session will offer participants the choice of either basketball or ball hockey and everyone will get to go swimming!

⭐️Fun lasts all day, 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
⭐️$30 fee for the day
⭐️Open to ages 8-14
⭐️Bring your own packed lunch and a water bottle
⭐️Ball hockey participants will need to bring their stick and gloves
⭐️A bathing suit and towel
⭐️Held at the AYR Motor Centre, Woodstock

Woodstock Recreation is hosting the 2026 Games and invite all athletes aged 8-13 to participate! The event spans two whole days, including an overnight stay, packed with events and fun activities.

This years games include:

🏐Volleyball
🏉Flag Football
🏸🥎⛳️and so much more!!!

Calling all Volunteers! We need several people to offer their time to the kids of our community for the annual Kids of Steel race on July 1st. Whether you can spare 1 hour or more, there’s plenty to do that can be spread around.🙌

⏰The event will run from 8 a.m. till 11 a.m. ensuring that everyone will get to enjoy other Canada Day festivities.

There are numerous roles for volunteers:
🏃Provide support and assistance during registration
🏃Offer guidance, support and ensure safety of participants from the sidelines throughout the course
🏃Handing out of snacks, water and prizes

This week is going to be busy for our Seniors! 🐝Take a look at the activities and programs we have available this week 👀

- Chair Yoga, Mondays 2:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
- Social Strolls, Wednesdays 9 a.m. - 10 a.m.
- Feedback Session, Wednesday, June 17th, 1:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
- Single Seniors Dance (Legacy Series Event), Thursday, June 18th, 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.
- Social Circle, Fridays 1:30 p.m. - 3 p.m.

Attention Baseball/Softball Players & Coaches ⚾️

Please be advised that the Woodstock High School Prom will take place on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, with the Grand March being held at the AYR Motor Centre.

⏰Beginning at approximately 6:00 p.m., the graduating class will participate in a vehicle procession from NBCC to the AYR Motor Centre. The parade route will travel along Main Street and Kirkpatrick Street before arriving at the AYR Motor Centre.

As a result, there may be increased traffic congestion and short delays in the area surrounding the Dale Allen Field, Jeff Clark Field, and the AYR Motor Centre during player arrivals and departures.

Players, coaches, and spectators are encouraged to allow extra travel time and use caution when entering or exiting the area ❗️

🤝Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we celebrate the Woodstock High School Class of 2026. We wish all graduates a memorable and successful evening.
