🦃 HAPPY THANKSGIVING, WOODSTOCK! 🧡

This weekend, we're feeling extra grateful. Thank you to our incredible BIA members who pour their hearts into downtown every single day, to our residents who make this community so vibrant, to our visitors who choose to spend their time here, and to everyone who chooses local, not just this weekend, but all year round.

Downtown Woodstock is what it is because of all of you. Wishing you a weekend full of good food, good company, and everything you're thankful for.

A quick heads-up: many downtown businesses will have special holiday hours this weekend, so check before you visit!

🎉 YOUR WEEKEND STARTS DOWNTOWN! 🎉

Friday is here, Woodstock, and downtown is the place to be. Kick things off with dinner at your favourite local spot, browse the shops, and keep the night going.

Looking for something a little spooky? The Woodstock Museum's Ghost Ship Escape Room is running Fridays and Saturdays from 4 to 9 p.m. through October 24. Grab 4 to 6 brave souls (ages 14+) and see if you can escape in time... if you dare. 👻 $20 per person, book through the Museum at 519-537-8411 ext. 2901.

📢 HEADS UP, DOWNTOWN WOODSTOCK!

You may notice garbage trucks out this morning! The new twice-a-week collection schedule is now underway in the downtown corridor.

From here on out until the end of the year, garbage pickup will be Tuesday and Friday mornings for businesses and residents.

This interim Zone 5a schedule runs through December 31, 2026. Blue box recycling is unchanged, still collected once a week on Tuesdays.

👻 ✨ Look at all these cutie little ghosties!!

Last Saturday’s Sip & Sculpt at the Woodstock Art Gallery was SUCH a blast! Everyone made their own ghost and experimented with painting with underglaze, and some even made mini ghosts for their growing ghost families. 👻👻👻

I absolutely love seeing how different everyone’s pieces turn out. So many wonderfully weird little ghostie personalities!

And don’t forget, we have our LAST Ghost Workshop this Saturday afternoon at the studio!

Come make your own ghostie dude, decorate them with underglaze, and get them back home in time for spooky season! 👻

🧡 On an unforgettable late-September day, the steady sound of a drum carried through out, while Every Child Matters flags rose above Downtown Woodstock.

There was something powerful in the rhythm, a heartbeat beneath the gathering, calling people to be present, to remember, and to listen. The drum gave weight to the moment in a way words alone could not, connecting reflection with something deeper and more felt.

Together, our community paused to honour the children who never returned home, the survivors of residential schools, and the families and communities who continue to carry their stories.

We were reminded that reconciliation asks more of us than a single day, a raised flag, and beyond a coloured shirt. As the drum carried through the square and the smoke from the smudging drifted into the air, there was a sense of pause, a moment to listen with intention, learn with humility, reflect with honesty, and carry those lessons forward.
