Kevtoons (formerly known as Cartoonitures) are caricatures with a point!

Kevtoons was chosen as the new name by popular poll. I guess it’s easier to remember than the old name and maybe a little friendlier.

On this page you will find occasionally posted some of my general cartoon work and history. EVERYTHING I cartooned...ever! Plus new toons and caricatures.

The caricatures are about helping with a POSITIVE SELF IMAGE and SELF WORTH. Yeah..laughing at ourselves can help with self-esteem. Go figure. :)

Hi I’m Kevin Cameron and it was not until my mid twenties that I realized that I could draw...ah no, I discovered that as far back as 5 or 6 when I drew a funny face on my bedroom door! That *mural* involved a face full of stubble and smoking a cigar. No one in our family smoked ci**rs BTW.

Okay back to my story: In my early twenties I discovered that I suffered from something we call SOCIAL ANXIETY. I just thought this *pain* I suffered was something normal. I realized that my panic attacks were associated with being with strangers, especially in group settings. Don’t get me wrong. I love meeting new people but things like class room settings made me want to run and go to my safe place. Flight or fright ( or both ) responses.

How does this fit with Kevtoons? Well my little mission is to help people accept themselves for who they are...*blemishes* and all.

For decades I suffered in silence. I tried concealing my inner anxiety so that my friends and family would never judge me as weak. Most of my friends never had a clue. I can hide my attacks that well.
