🐝 𝕗𝕠𝕣 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕓𝕖𝕖 𝕝𝕠𝕧𝕖𝕣𝕤 🐝

my oldest son has recently become interested in Apiculture and is a budding Apiarist (even asking to put a hive in the back yard!), therefore, he's been teaching me all about bees - what truly fascinating creatures! he asked if i could make him a bee themed mug so i had to give it a go. when your 18 year old son exclaims "maman, this is perfection", i felt pretty okay with the result ☺️

my favourite studio assistant was busy today 💪🏽 she spent hours rolling and cutting clay for me - the first step in bringing ornaments, magnets and other goodies to life ❤️💫

these have been really popular so mama's grateful for the extra set of hands 💕

and two new designs are in the works - ɾαѵíօlí and ժísհԵօաҽl shaped spoon rests ✨ i’ve been fine-tuning the design/sizing of these for awhile now (with at least 10 prototypes in my kitchen 😅) and can’t wait to share the finished pieces. they’re just so fun ☺️🥄

✨ 𝕋𝔾𝕀𝔽 ✨

i've been dealing with kiln issues this past week - a part needed to be replaced so i ordered and waited for said part and my wonderful husband replaced it (thanks love 🥰). i was excited to be up and running again only to discover another part needs to be replaced...right in the middle of the busy summer season nonetheless. colour me unimpressed 😒

but it is what it is and i can't do a thing about it but wait so i decided to go through some of the many boxes around the studio and found some forgotten goodies 🙈 some of which are pieces i made at the suggestions of several lovely customers at the Spring Maker Market 🥰

- taller soap dispensers for dish soap ✔️
- more wave charcuterie plates ✔️
- travel tumblers with handles ✔️
- more ring dishes ✔️

annnd a couple Island Girl mugs, positive affirmation mugs and the revival of a past fave - watermelon sugar 🌊🍉

Good morning pottery loving peeps ☀️

I've recently had an issue with not being able to reply to some messages - I get an error message indicating that 'this person is unavailable on messenger' (see photo ⤵️). I've been able to locate and contact most of you through my personal account but there are a couple of you that I can't find - the accounts just do not come up. If this sounds familiar, this post is for you! I apologize if you've sent me messages and haven't heard back but I'm unable to reply and I honestly don't know how to fix it 😔

✨ website update✨

holy heat wave here in PEI ☀️ i spent the day taking pictures, editing pictures, retaking pictures and uploading pictures to update my website and i never fail to grossly underestimate the amount of time it takes to do this task 🫠 i tried to take advantage of the sunshine but it was so hot outside my phone continuously shut down due to the risk of overheating 🔥

i had quite a few random pieces laying around the studio so the latest glaze load was a mix of glaze tests, some old colourways i haven't done in a while and some new tests - a couple of new faves and some fails 🤷🏼‍♀️

but my website now has some new goodies - beachy mugs and cups, some faves from my latest kiln unload and lots of ornaments and magnets ✨🤍

fingers crossed the 'Square' gods are kind to me 🤞🏽

happy friday and day one of summer vacation - we have some happy kiddos in our house ✨

amidst the constant making of mugs and straw cups (so many straw cups!!) i've been having a blast making these adorable ornaments and magnets - the perfect keepsake to remember your Island adventures or to simply add a little PEI charm to your home 🥰🦞🐚🩵
