We are pleased to announce our next specialty workshop will be Fire Performing and Safety with and on May 31st at 1pm. Sign-in in the gym at 1pm, workshop 1:30-2:30. Wear natural fibers for safety! Dress for the weather as the workshop will take place in the rink outside.

This end-of-season workshop will focus on practical fire safety for performance environments, facilitated by Xaq The Freeman and Stacy Klassen, who have performed together for over 20 years. Drawing from decades of hands-on experience in the fire arts community, the workshop will cover foundational safety practices, risk management, fuel handling, and performance protocols. The material is rooted in the original North American Fire Arts Association (NAFAA) safety guidelines that helped shape early community standards, alongside updated best practices informed by the Flow Arts Institute Fire Safety Training Program.
