Wanting to become an architect, I came up with my company name and logo in 2001 while working on a building design project in school and kept it alive for different projects ever since. Building design eventually turned into graphic design and installation, which is my day-to-day job. However since about 2006 I've focused mostly on photography as a hobby. I started getting serious about photograph

y around 2010 and finally registered the company in January 2015. I focus mainly on landscape/travel, transportation, architecture and long exposure photography. However I do shoot portraits, mostly consisting of family sessions.

Next up after taking a second spiral staircase - this time wrought iron - you emerge inside the middle/base of the tower that the Copper Dome and Golden Boy sit on. This is recognizable from the outside by the tall skinny vertical windows seen in picture one. From there you take a third and precariously high spiral staircase to get into the highest attic in Winnipeg. All that’s inside is a small shed that houses a computer to monitor vibrations and the strength of the Golden Boy to make sure metal fatigue doesn’t set in and cause a potentially dangerous collapse of the statue. In the last two photos you’ll notice the small windows in the middle of the walls that when viewed from the outside if you’re on street level, actually has a light that flashes anytime the legislative assembly is sitting, usually in the afternoon between 2-4 pm. This is located in the very middle of the copper dome. You’ll also notice there is a small ladder to take to a small hatch on the top of the copper dome which opens at the base of the golden boy, but the weather was rainy so I wasn’t able to crack the sucker open. Bummer. Maybe next time 😏😉 @ The Legislative Assembly of Manitoba/Assemblée législative du Manitoba

After climbing up the narrowest spiral staircase I’ve ever been on (which is extra claustrophobic since it’s made of stone [seen on my story as a teaser for this post]. You can barely move wearing a back back) you walk through the door seen on slide 3 and end up standing in front of the massive dome that is directly above the pool of the black star. Pics 4-6 will orient you if you still can’t picture what/where this is. This is also the roof level above the three floors of offices in the building. See my story for more landscape panoramic photos from the roof. @ The Legislative Assembly of Manitoba/Assemblée législative du Manitoba

Over one year ago I stared out wanting to visual preserve the inside of the Legislature. But not the famous staircase and public areas everyone knows about - rather the never seen private spaces ‘under the dome’. I was finally given permission to access these spaces and the shots along with a small wrote up about it are now on my site. I still need to finish the write up. I’m trying to get some original blueprints from the MB archives that might reveal a really impressive plan that never came to fruition about having a public observation deck just under the copper dome. Boy that would have been an amazing place to view the city from... I’m going to post a few of my fav shots from inside on here but if you want to see them all, please hit up the link in my bio to check them out. Feel free to share and send to people you know too. Thanks for the support of my love for architecture history and photography. Now yet another forgotten private historical space is open for all Manitobans to see.

June 17, 2018. 10:34 pm. I remember a group of about 5 or 6 young teenagers walking past me and asking where they can go for a few drinks because they were from - either Minnesota or Wisconsin I forget - and wanted to enjoy the perks of being legal 3 years a head of time 🤣. Of course those aren’t the words they used 😂🍺.... I played around with the sky in these. I love ‘em both for different reasons.
