Congratulations to our very own Alex Baksina on receiving an award for community service from the city of Winnipeg. Mayor Scott Gillingham presented the award, a complete surprise to Alex. We managed to convince him to be present at this show with his family and friends in tow that we're aware he was going to be honoured. If there anyone deserving of this honour, it is Alex. The success of our bocce league and its longevity is a testament to the fortitude, passion and love of our community that Alex possesses entirely. I cannot express enough gratitude to Alex for everything he does for the Centro Caboto and the benefits the Centro enjoys because of bocce. With calm desire and determination Alex continues to raise the bar. Thank you again Alex, you are a class act and we are all proud of you. Viva italia!!🇮🇹🇮🇹
