"Parting is such sweet sorrow ..."

R+J: Closing Night closed last weekend, and we are so grateful for everyone who attended and showed their support for this hugely ambitious and wonderful show.

An excerpt from Suzie:
"This play matters to me because it understands the power of live storytelling as a collective expression of courage, solidarity and shared belief ...
Thank you for coming out in droves to take a stand in solidarity with us! Your presence at the show and your willingness to be brave and dive in is what made it possible."

An excerpt from Jessy:
"[The Fox Den Collective] wanted to write a love letter to live theatre ... in a way that showcased the joys, difficulties, absurdities, and heartbreak involved in a theatrical life.
We also couldn’t have done it without you, the audience. That is true of theatre in general but even more true of this show specifically. Without you, the artists of The Elizabeth Paige Theatre would not be able to make the show go on, and Agatha Wilson would not be able to rest."

Thank you to the exceptional cast, creative team, crew, volunteers, and you, the audience, for keeping the Elizabeth Paige's (candle) lights on every evening.

This Saturday, September 19th at 7:00pm we are offering Audio-Description for R+J: Closing Night provided by our friends at Vocal Image Ensemble Winnipeg (VIEW).

Doors open at 6:00pm, be sure to arrive early to receive your audio-description device prior to showtime!

Don't need audio-description? That's okay! This option is here for those who need it, but it's still a regular performance!

This Wednesday is our Relaxed Environment Performance!

On September 16, the performance is the same as what you would see any other night. The audience experience is more casual and comfortable for anyone who might need to move around, leave their seat, make noise, stim – anyone who feels they would benefit from a more flexible, informal time at the theatre!

In both paths, the audience lights will remain on at a low level. Ushers will be mindful and available to es**rt patrons to the lobby if they need a break. Actors are aware and comfortable with noise and movement from the audience (though we ask you to still save conversations for the lobby.) Otherwise, the show is unchanged!

R+J: Closing Night opens THIS THURSDAY and we’d love to highlight the variety of special performances we’re offering!

- Our previews on Tuesday and Wednesday are PAY WHAT YOU CAN, the perfect opportunity to bring a big group!

- Join us on Sunday, September 13th for a talkback after the matinee to learn more about the work that went into this immersive show
