Vietnamese Women Association of Winnipeg’s Dance Group

The Dance Group of the Vietnamese Women Association of Winnipeg is dedicated to celebrating and preserving Vietnamese culture through music and dance. Composed of passionate volunteers, the group showcases both traditional and contemporary performances that reflect the beauty, history, and spirit of Vietnam.

Through colorful costumes, graceful choreography, and vibrant cultural presentations, the dancers proudly share their heritage while promoting cultural understanding and community connection. The group regularly performs at multicultural festivals, community celebrations, charitable events, and cultural showcases throughout Winnipeg.

As part of the Vietnamese Women Association of Winnipeg, the Dance Group is proud to contribute to Manitoba's diverse multicultural community, inspiring appreciation for Vietnamese traditions and bringing people together through the universal language of dance.

"About Friendly Chinese Dance Association of Winnipeg Inc (since 2009) and Cheerful dance group (since 2017) 

We are the non-profit dance groups who are dedicated to promoting the physical and mental well-being of individuals aged 50 and older. We offer active living programs, such as line dance and Chinese folk dance classes, to encourage regular physical activity and celebrate Chinese culture. Ultimately, these initiatives create engaging activities designed to reduce isolation and foster a strong sense of community among older adults.

Over the years, both dance groups have participated in Folklorama, Asian Heritage Festival, Street Festival, Night Market/The Winnipeg Lantern Festival, and many other events."

On August we will perform:  

1, What a beautiful jasmine flower - chinese folk line dance  (2:56 min)

2, Pillow the galaxy under the moonlight - Chinese classical big fan dance (3:30)

3, Entering the lotus room - chinese classical dance (2:48)

4 Wudang tai chi (10:00)

5 Don't say you love me when I am lonely - line dance (2:21)

6, Fatal love - small fan line dance (3:43)

Total performing time about 26 plus entering and exit stage.  I also attached music for our performing dances.  I will send music for tai chi once I have it from our tai chi master.
