When getting your guitar tone, having options is essential. The same amp, cab, speaker and mic combo (or even the latest and greatest amp sims) may grow stale after a while and may not be right for a particular album or song, so there's no shame in trying something new. Getting the right tone at the source can save you hours during the mixing portion of the production.
