Nine years ago today...
Thank you to everyone who joined us on this night nine years ago and shared in what was a most powerful and emotional evening to say goodbye to the late, great Kenny Shields back in 2017.
It was an unforgettable evening of music and memories and we thank all those in the Winnipeg musical community for sharing their time, talent and support that night and a special thanks to Ken Sinnaeve, Paul Dean, Mike Reno and Matthew Frenette from Loverboy who, along with Catherine St Germain, all took time out of their busy summer touring schedule in the USA to be a part of this night all those years ago.
It was a poignant and powerful moment to see all the surviving founding members of Streetheart together on stage again, playing and paying tribute to Kenny.
We are so very grateful to each and every person that made this night a night that all of us in the Streetheart family will never forget and we thank the thousands of friends and fans who joined us that night to say goodbye to one of Canada's finest vocalists and frontmen.
RIP Kenny, you will always live on in our hearts and in the hearts of all your friends, fans and family. 💜💜
Here's to great ones gone too soon but never forgotten.

Well, wasn't that a party on Saturday night!
Our sincere thanks to everyone who came out to the Burt Block Party on Saturday night and represented the best of Winnipeg with your R&R spirits set on ten! Thank you for singing along with us, for making us feel so good and despite what was a minimal sleep weekend, Saturday was one of the absolute highlights of the summer for us.
A rare back to back weekend for us as we were at the Red Deer Resort & Casino on Friday night where we played to a sold out house that was seriously rockin' as well.
Our thanks to Adrian Strawberry and everyone at the Red Deer Resort & Casino for your fine hospitality, we hope to make a return visit soon.
Kudos to everyone who came out to the show for a fabulous Friday night, our Alberta fans certainly know how to kick it in style, we look forward to seeing you all again soon!
Ok, here comes the hard part...
Saturday, Aug.15 2026
3:30am wake up call.
4:30am ground transport to Calgary.
6:00am arrive at the airport, check in.
8:00am fly to Winnipeg.
11:10am arrive in Winnipeg, go home for an hour.
1:30pm arrive at the Burt for soundcheck.
3:30pm go back home for a few hours. Random naps, food, showers.
6:30pm back to the Burt to prep for the show.
8:00pm showtime...
This is where the story gets better...
Play for a few thousand amazing friends and fans who gave us a night we'll never forget.

Our thanks to True North Sports & Entertainment and in particular, Kevin Donnelly, Ruben Ramalheiro and Alayne Nott for including us as part of this legendary weekend once again.
We can't thank you all enough for continuing to support us as you do and a huge shout out of course to one of the best production teams in the business, every one of you helped us and all the artists make the night a special one for us and for the fans.
Speaking of that, we have to give out huge shouts to Colin James, TOQUE and Kelly Bado who all played amazing sets of music for everyone in attendance.
It was grand night and a grand weekend for that matter with all four nights bringing some of the best artists in Canada and internationally to the music patrons of Winnipeg.
It's been quite a summer once again for Streetheart and we are thankful to still be doing what we do after 50 incredible years. That number is still an astounding one for us, thank you all for continuing to ride along with us as we head towards year 51, we are grateful for each and every one of you.

Tickets have been selling well for this shown so we expect the house to be rockin'!
We hit the stage at 9:00pm tonight with special guests Supersonic kicking things off at 8:00pm.
Big shout out to the staff and management at the Red Deer Resort & Casino who have treated us so well since we arrived here yesterday, we are grateful for your kind hospitality!
And a big shout out also to hosts Zed 98.9 Red Deer!

Looking forward to coming back to one of our favourite events, the legendary Burt Block Party presented by Leopold's this Saturday night along with Canada's own Colin James and our musical brothers TOQUE.
The BBP is a four day event with a wide range of great artists, this year featuring The Beaches, Collective Soul, 54-40 along with a number of others so we hope you'll be able to get out to a few nights of music and of course, we'd love to see you on Saturday night!

Congratulations Brent Fitz on this great celebration that is taking place tomorrow.
Kudos to the City of Winnipeg for honouring someone who has brought and continues to bring the good vibes and spirit of Winnipeg with him wherever his busy worldwide schedule takes him whether that be with Slash, Triumph, Gene Simmons, The Dead Daisies, TOQUE or Streetheart!
We are all very proud of you Brent not only for receiving this honour but for all the hard work and effort that has brought you to this day. We're also so grateful to have you in the band with us, your good vibes and skill have helped us raise the bar show after show. Here's to many more shows for us down the road...
We hope to see everyone tomorrow as well all celebrate one of Winnipeg's finest musicians and humans. It could not of have happened to a more deserving person and we are all so very proud of Brent and all he has accomplished.

Our sincere thanks to the thousands of friends and fans who attended last week's shows at both the River Cree Resort & Casino in Enoch AB and the Saskatoon EX Grandstand in beautiful Saskatoon SK on August 01.
Despite some challenges this past week, the travel Gods smiled down on us and along with the help of some of professional friends, we are able to say that we had a most successful and memorable week.
Our thanks to Emmy Plante and her amazing team at the River Cree Resort & Casino on Thursday night for another terrific show at one of Canada's premiere live venues. Kudos to the production staff for their usual good work and of course to everyone in attendance for singing along and reminding us of how fortunate we are to still be able to do this. And of course, props out to Lee Aaron for kicking things off in fine style, you all rocked the house and set the bar high for us! Here's to doing that again soon!
Friday's travel plans were adjusted somewhat to avoid any potential air travel headaches. We kicked it old school and had our good friends at the Workman Security Group Inc. drive us to Saskatoon. Thank you gentlemen for a safe and comfortable journey, we look forward to using your top notch service again soon.
Saturday we played the Saskatoon EX Grandstand and what a way to finish off our little road trip. Saskatchewan fans have always been so good to us over the years. Streetheart, as many of you know, was founded in Regina SK way back in 1976 so there's that bit of history for us to lean on!
Thank you all for being the loud and proud fans that you are, we are so grateful to every one of you who came out to show us some wonderful support. We look forward to doing it again soon.
Props out to Chris Tessmer and his team at the Saskatoon EX and of course, our good friends at Barndog Productions. We are grateful to work with you all on events like this as we have for many years and, we look forward to continuing that tradition for as long as we can.
Thank you again, you have all played an important role in the long and successful history of this band.
Sunday offered a bit of serendipity for us.
Our flights home were booked with WestJet Encore meaning we weren't affected by yesterday's short lived strike. There appears to be a tentative agreement in place as of today but we know a lot of travellers were inconvenienced yesterday. We are happy to hear that talks have moved forward, hopefully that situation will come to a satisfactory conclusion for both sides in turn making life easier for all WestJet customers.
Dependable travel options are a must for everyone and for us, changing travel plans is not an option.
So there you have it, a bit of time off before the R&R schedule kicks back in later this month.

Getting ready for a busy five days of shows and travel starting tomorrow.
The looming WestJet strike has added a bit of a twist to our travel plans on this run and it looks like we'll be seeing a bit more asphalt and a little less runway than expected this week.
However, we are looking forward to two great shows beginning at the River Cree Resort & Casino in Enoch, AB on Thursday night along with Canada's own, Lee Aaron.
The River Cree is one of our favourite indoor venues, one that we are always excited about playing and having Lee Aaron on the bill with us is going to make for a most memorable evening for everyone in attendance.

Many thanks to Ken and Ruthanne Holst and everyone at the Spider Entertainment Group for inviting Streetheart back to sunny and smokin' hot Taber AB for another memorable evening at Cornstock 26.
It was a great lineup this year, Ken and his team outdoing themselves again, bringing some of the finest music and artists this country has to offer including Big Wreck, 54-40, Colin James, TOQUE, Sass Jordan, Honeymoon Suite, Headpins, Harlequin and Nick Gilder.
As always we were treated first class by the entire Holst family during our stay, this is one of the most well run festivals we do and outside the typical glitches that seem to come with doing anything this ambitious, our experience was, as it has been for the last three years, professionally run and big fun.
Sending a huge shout out of thanks to everyone involved in the production of the show, the 35+ degree temps all weekend long add additional challenges to a busy schedule but, at least from our perspective, everyone rose to the occasion. Thank you all for your hard work all day long, we appreciate what you do and we couldn't do what we do without you. Thank you.
Of course, the R&R patrons of Cornstock were brilliant as always, we were humbled to see so many good friends from all over the country show up to cheer us on, we hope you all had the best weekend, thank you as always for continuing to make us feel like kings, for supporting us all these years, this one, as you know, being number 50!
A few days off for us, next up, Thursday, July 30th at the River Cree Resort & Casino along with Lee Aaron and then it's off to Saskatoon to play the Exhibition Grandstand on Saturday.
Here's hoping that WestJet gets this impending strike sorted out before too long...

RIP Kenny Shields.

Nine years ago we said goodbye to our friend, bandmate and the frontman for Streetheart for over 40 years.
The end of an incredible era.
We went through a lot of life together.
Good times, bad times, memorable times.
In his prime, Kenny Shields was arguably the best frontperson on the planet and a legion of loyal fans who still remember those times would give credence to that claim.
Kenny’s unique voice helped define Streetheart’s identity and sound.
His ability to work an audience was a thing of legend.
Kenny was a one of a kind talent and he will always be missed by everyone who knew him.

Nine years...
It has certainly been a profound time for all of us.
So much has changed in our world since 2017 and to some extent, we have all had to redefine how we live in this world.
We want to thank everyone for showing us so much support over these last nine years; thank you for continuing to stand with us despite the loss of someone who meant so much to so many of you.
We will always be grateful for that.
We know how much Kenny meant to you as he did to us.
We hope that you will always celebrate the memory and legacy of Kenny with joy and remember all those good times that we shared together.
Here’s to life.
Live it well and live it fully friends.
We know that Kenny would want you to do just that.
