In WHAT!?! In the World, Bill Younger uses glass to explore the beauty and fragility of our natural world, from forests and waterways to the effects of pollution and climate change.

But his work isn't meant to leave us feeling defeated. Bill hopes that the beauty of the pieces can make us pause, reconnect with the world around us, and think about the difference we can still make.

Now with a few more days to visit, come experience WHAT!?! In the World at MHC Gallery before it closes on August 26!

Have you had a chance to experience Naomi Gerrard's Multi-Grains of Energy?

For Naomi, the grains found throughout the prairie landscape are more than just a material. They carry colour, texture, history, and the energy of the land.

With only a few days left to visit, this is your chance to take a closer look at Multi-Grains of Energy before the exhibition closes on August 15.

What details will you discover? 👀

How does light change the way we see a work of art? 🌈

Glass artist Bill Younger creates sculptures that reveal something different from every angle. As natural light shifts throughout the day, new colours, reflections, and details begin to emerge.

Take your time, walk around each piece, and discover how WHAT!?! In the World invites us to experience both the beauty and the fragility of the natural world.

On view at MHC Gallery until August 15.

Can you recognize the grains in these artworks?

Take a closer look. 🌾

In Multi-Grains of Energy, artist Naomi Gerrard incorporates real prairie grains into her mixed-media works, celebrating the landscapes that nourish both our communities and our imagination.

Look closely and you might spot wheat, oats, flax, canola, rye, buckwheat, sunflower seeds and more; each one adding its own texture, colour, and character to the artwork.

Which ones can you identify? 👀

What can glass teach us about the natural world?

In WHAT!?! In the World, Bill Younger uses stained glass, along with wood, metal, and ceramics, to explore some of today's most pressing environmental challenges. For Bill, glass is more than a material, it becomes a powerful reminder of both the beauty and the fragility of the world around us.

His sculptural works invite visitors to move around them, discovering how changing light and shifting perspectives transform each piece throughout the day.

👉 On view until August 15!
