Mornin’ everyone.

Recently I had a customer who was surprised at what I charge for transfers. I feel $25 for any tape any length was fair.
Usually I get a “fight back” asking if can lower my price. When I told him this, he relplied “ ask them how much. Big Mac meal costs. He said it’s close to what you charge but the meal only lasts a few minutes. The video memories last a lifetime. A small price to pay for such a unique gift”.

Just for sheer knowledge, when I transfer a tape it’s all real time. There’s no way to short cut the time. A two hour tape will take up to three hours to get to a digital format. A six hour tape, almost nine hours.

I also enhance the video quality and the audio where needed. I’ll also remove those game shows, tv series, at no extra cost.

I’ve talked to other companies that do what I do and they just transfer the whole tape as is for approximately $35 and up.

So, when you’re thinking about getting your tapes transferred, or you know of someone looking to get them done, show them this post.

We are so happy! That night when we picked up the USB, we watched four hours getting to bed after midnight. To see my kids when they were so little was amazing. My daughter who lives in Portage came over. There were smiles, laughs, awww, and comments like “Mom I’m really glad you did this for us”. The quality is great. My kids were so excited. So a big thank you for all the work you did moving all those cassettes over to one USB! I would have had this done long ago but I had no idea where I could go or who to ask. So when I came across your work in my news feed I was hopeful. Well it turned out amazing and thank you ever so much for your work for your tech knowledge to make it happen.
