Did I mention we had a great turnout for First Friday on June 5th? Thank you all again for coming, I counted 187 of you. Also thanks again to Damiola Daramola for his great installation/performance “The Game of Life” which would not have been possible without the kind intervention of Andrew at ! Studio 6 had blown a breaker with the projector and the air conditioning on the same circuit and Andrew was kind enough to let us run extension cords to ARP to keep the show going! It turns out publishing has power!

Thanks to everyone who came out to Studio 6 for yesterday! We had so many people come through, it was really wonderful. We look forward to seeing everyone in July!

This First Friday at Studio 6 we have a special guest, Dmiola Daramola, who is presenting an interactive video piece called “Life” that draws on vintage video games to examine the choices we make!

Studio 6 will be showing “AITKENHEAD & LONGFIELD PAINTINGS AT STUDIO 6 ” for Doors Open Winnipeg on May 30th and 31st from the 12-4pm.

This will be a show of just, or mainly paintings, by Thor and I. Some old, some new, It may even include a haunted piano.

Studio 6 as you may be aware is on the 6th floor of the historic Whitla building, which has the unique quality of being normal on the outside and a labyrinthine maze on the inside. Seriously, at one point the hallway goes down two steps and when it loops around it only goes back up one step.

This is a video I was going to use as a story to promote our First Friday event at Studio 6 on Friday, I didn’t finish it at the time so I’m sharing it now as a sort of document. Big thanks to everyone who came down and made it a success!

Hey folks for First Friday this February 6th Studio 6 will be back! We took a little time to reorganize after the move but we’re up this month! And I’ll be showing some of my mask paintings alongside the animal portraits they lead to, which will be exciting to see!
