These four pieces will be auctioned at this evening’s Art for Impact 2026 Live Auction.

Saturday, April 18 | 4:00–10:00 PM

Proceeds will be used to support those in need throughout Kelowna and the Okanagan. To date, the event has raised over $14,000.

Becoming
Acrylic on canvas

Becoming explores the idea of human connection through colour and form. Bands of colour move across the canvas like individual lives, each distinct yet part of a larger whole. The work reflects the idea that while we move through the world as individuals, our lives continually shape and influence one another. Through this connection, something larger begins to emerge — a shared becoming grounded in community, presence, and belonging.

Donated in support of the KGM Kelowna’s Gospel Mission and Art for Impact, whose work strengthens and restores community for those who need it most.

Honoured to have this work included in the Art for Impact Auction on April 18, 2026, at the KF Centre for Excellence in Kelowna, BC.

Proceeds from the event support individuals in the community facing homelessness.

I lived in Kelowna for nearly 20 years, so it’s especially meaningful to be part of this. Grateful to Spencer Stanley David Larsen for organizing such a thoughtful and impactful event.

The evening will feature work from a select group of artists, many represented by Hambleton Galleries and Gallery 421.

In 2025, I spent most of the year exploring how blending colour within each horizontal band leads to the emergence of form.

Earlier in the year, this exploration led to the formation of the circle, square, and triangle; the sphere, cube, and pyramid—and most recently, language.
