Another Julie memory:

Grandpa said he had planned on becoming a priest before he met "my girl." Grandma would always give a big laugh and remark that, "Instead we had 10 children!"
To which Grandpa would parry: "Two short of a dozen!"

I'm sharing some of my cousin Julie's stories and memories of our grandparents because I have very few.

The first thing I remember is how much in love Grandpa and Grandma Lee were. I would say he adored her, picking her wild flowers after a hard day's fishing. As their grandchild this struck me as "the way things were supposed to be." They met at the Indian Residential School, Grandma said " it was one of the only good things that happened there." Still, the nuns helped her sew her wedding dress.

This photo was taken on January 27, 1920 of my grandparent's wedding. This day was important for two reasons, the marriage and my grandmother became white.
