After spending the day working outside to shut down our garden and get ready for winter, I didn't want to go inside once the work was done. So instead I set up a little outside studio and made some gel prints with the leaves from my yard and from the ones that blew my way. 🍁

Joe and I spent the last few moments of the day outside until the sun went down. Today is definitely fall....yesterday it was still summer.🌞

Today is Joe's 'Gotcha Day'. Hard to believe it's been one year already when I walked him home from his foster and he never left. He seamlessly fit into our world and became family. He loves car rides a lot, especially those to the dog park. He loves water! He is particularly fond of naps. It took him a while to climb up onto a couch but now he enjoys them so much. He took forever to wag his tail which was strange but now he wags his tail constantly. We love you so much Joe. So happy we met. 🖤🐾

The wonderful world of trees!🌲 There are many metaphors associated with them....grow strong roots to withstand any (wind) storm....etc, etc. They are absolutely essential for our animal and human survival. They are providers of shelter, homes and clean air. 🏡They speak their own language that we are just now learning about. Make sure to hug a tree today. 🌳

I do love to go outside on an overcast day and photograph tree silhouettes against the light grey sky. 🌴

I stopped once the sky cleared up as the blue becomes too strong of a grey when flipping the images to black and white. I have made edits before to correct this unwanted grey but I decided to stop instead. I get lazy with phot editing. 😜

These trees are just budding which means that there is are more interesting shapes at the end of the branches but the strong silhouettes are still there too. Made for a lovely combo. 🍃

These images will be used as individual prints or as image transfers in my other artwork. 🍁
