It was an excellent night for a book launch! Helma's poem was very moving. A unique perspective on why people leave everything behind to start again in a new country. It's a huge leap into the unknown - for better or worse. Thanks Helma and thanks also to Richard Zaric who told his parents story and his memories of them. His book "Hiding Scars" is a must read! Wonderful to see and meet all those who attended... and Moray McVey who wrote the foreword for the book and Sandy Driscoll, graphic designer "extraordinaire" who turned the portraits and stories into THE BIG RED BOOK for me!!
