Huddles here...🐧
And wow… what a night!
Our Trivia Night fundraiser was an incredible success, and this year felt extra special because the students truly ran the whole show. From quizmasters to scorers, runners to concessions, raffle tickets to keeping everything moving… they did it all. And they absolutely crushed it.
There is something pretty magical about watching a group of penguins come together… each doing their part, supporting each other, and creating something unforgettable. That’s exactly what this night was.
To everyone who came out to play, laugh, and support us… thank you. You filled the room with energy and made the night what it was.
And to the amazing local businesses and community groups who donated to our raffle… wow. The prize table wasn’t just full… it was flippin’ fantastic… absolutely ice-solating itself as the coolest table in the room
(Okay…I couldn’t resist.)
Truly though… your generosity means so much and helps make opportunities like this possible for our students. Please go and support these wonderful groups!
So proud of these kids… this is what happens when passion, teamwork, and a whole lot of heart come together.
Until next time…

Happy World Theatre Day from Huddles the Penguin! 🐧

I may be a newer face around here… but wow, what a history I’ve waddled into.

So many incredible kids have taken the stage over the years... finding their voices, building their confidence, and creating a little bit of magic every single time the lights come up. You can feel it… all those moments.... and all that heart.

And now I get the absolute joy of watching the next group step into that same spotlight. Seeing the passion, the courage, the talent… it makes me so proud to be part of the Riverfront family.

To everyone who has ever stood on this stage, and to those who are just beginning .... you are what makes RTC so special.....YOU are the legacy of RTC. Every laugh, every risk taken, every bit of courage carried off that stage and into the world… that is the beauty and magic of you....and of theatre.

Keep shining… I’ll be right here cheering you on every step of the way 💜

Well… my cup runneth over! 💙

Last night, our amazing students took the stage at our very first Music Café, and they performed beautifully. It takes real bravery to stand in front of a room full of people, and they did it with such confidence, heart, and talent. 🎤🎶

Every performance was so special. You could see how much work they put in, and watching them support and cheer each other on made this little penguin so proud. The room was filled with music, smiles, and that warm RTC feeling I love so much. 🙌

To our performers — you shone brightly, just like the stars you are, and my penguin heart is absolutely bursting. ✨

Riverfront Theatre Company’s Story.

Riverfront Theatre Company began in the spring of 2004 in Windsor, Ontario. We are a youth theatre company, now operating September-May each season. Our students register with us and rehearse weekly on Saturdays. We have two Ensembles within the Company: our Juniors are students ages 6-10, and our Seniors are students ages 11-18. Our group is a subsidiary of the Youth Connection Association for Academic Excellence, and we’re a charity. We don’t charge the families to participate, but we work them hard, preparing for three or more productions every season.

Our entire Crew is volunteer, and devoted to helping the kids put together a beautiful show for audiences in Windsor and Essex County. Our school shows are generally sold out, so we rent a big theatre to make sure we have space for a large student audience. Our typical approach is to have a Junior Christmas show, a February straight play with the Seniors, and a spring Musical. For 2018-2019, we’re shaking things up a bit - an announcement will be coming out soon. To learn more about RTC, check out our website, and follow us here, on Twitter and on Instagram. ***Please note that as a result of anticipated restrictions for COVID-19 social distancing in the 2020-2021 season, we do NOT anticipate any openings in our membership, and our current waiting list is frozen. We will not be accepting new names for our waiting list at this time.
