University Players (Windsor) Theatre company of the School of Dramatic Art at the University of Windsor Come join us!

University Players is the theatrical production arm of the School of Dramatic Art at the University of Windsor. Home to some of the nation's leading theatre programs, housed in a state-of-the-art training facility, the School of Dramatic Art has been producing top-notch talent for over 49 years. Our shows are created by an ensemble that includes talented up-and-coming student actors, directors fro

m the faculty and guest artists, and our skilled and innovative set, costume, and lighting designers. Students are involved in all aspects of production, on-stage and off, as they prepare for careers in the professional theatres of Canada and abroad. The company produces six main-stage productions each season, and has developed a well-earned reputation for producing high quality shows. Our 2017-2018 season is our 59th in our community, and includes some outstanding plays that will provide a captivating range of theatrical experiences. Essex Hall Theatre, located at the heart of the University of Windsor campus, is the venue for 5 main-stage performances by University Players. Its 323 plush seats provide an intimate setting for over 50 performances each year, reaching an audience of nearly 14,000 people. One production will be on our second stage, Hatch Studio Theatre, located in the Jackman Dramatic Art Centre.

Let's take a moment today to acknowledge all the wonderful actors, crew members, designers, directors, producers, staff, and of course you, our patrons, who make it possible for us to create memorable theatrical experiences.
