Join us this Friday for the opening of Betty Pomerleau’s No Stone Unturned, with a performance taking place Saturday afternoon.
Developed in part during a short residency at Artcite, the exhibition brings together moving image, sound, installation, and performance across both galleries.
"In theatre arts, technique might not be so clearly instrumental. The craftsmanship of performance sometimes dovetails with sleight of hand: a trick of perception that invites curiosity or prompts one to question the boundaries of authorship or subjecthood." — excerpt from the exhibition text by Hilary Bergen

Betty Pomerleau is a visual artist, performer, and director based in Québec. After practicing mime and choreography, she received a master’s from Paris’ École nationale supérieure des Arts décoratifs with the jury’s distinction. Her work takes form in sculpture, drawing, and play, forging connections between notions like haunting, lived knowledges, memory palaces, dust, and follies. Her crafted machines work in loops, shifts, and returns, night and day.
