Art Create Learn

Art Create Learn The Art Create Learn Magazine is designed to support and advance the work of artists in our region. Thank you for reading this!

To do this, we feature both emerging and established artists, as well as topics that are important to them. Art Create Learn is a new online art space/magazine for Windsor Essex Artists, its goal is to be a platform for sharing art inspiration, studio tips, show work by local artists. I would like this online space/magazine to have the best of an online magazine: the opportunity to immerse yoursel

f in a local art world for a while, learn something new, look at beautiful pictures; and the best of the project: the opportunity to meet like-minded people, get new ideas or incite someone to do something creative. If you want to talk about art, creativity, and learning, share your creativity with readers, write us! If you like to support Art Create Learn, please tell someone else about it.

✨ What happens in the moments between becoming someone else?
For Margot Forman - Margot Forman , it was found in a life drawing session filled with costume changes, different characters, and changing moods.
Her watercolour Disco Jesus Portrait 3 captures one of those quieter moments between transformations—when a pose, a mood, and a character briefly come together.
We’re thrilled to share that this work was selected as one of two ACL Favourite works in our In Between online exhibition. 🎨
Visit the link in our bio to explore the full exhibition, see more of Margot’s work, and discover the other artists featured in In Between.

A beautiful new public art landmark has found its home in Jackson Park.
This past weekend, Art Create Learn attended the grand opening and ribbon-cutting of the Emancipation Celebration Monument at Jackson Park.
It was wonderful to see the community come together to celebrate an important part of our history through art, music, storytelling, and connection.
The monument, presented by the Emancipation Celebration Monument Committee and the City of Windsor, is a meaningful addition to our city and a reminder of the important stories that continue to shape our community.
Congratulations to Dennis K. Smith on his beautiful mural paintings created for the monument. Dennis has been featured in several past issues of Art Create Learn Magazine and is the President of Artists of Colour - www.theartistsofcolour.com.

His artwork honours the history of Emancipation Day and creates a space where people can reflect, learn, and connect for years to come.

If you would like to learn more about the history connected to Emancipation Day, visit the Amherstburg Freedom Museum, a wonderful place to explore Black history and heritage in our region.
We encourage everyone to visit Jackson Park and experience this inspiring new landmark.
