NEW AT WI******ER OPEN MIC CAFE! Launching into our 15th season on SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 13th, WOMCafe will be happening once a month, rather than weekly, Sundays from 2pm to 5pm as usual. OUR DATES THIS FALL SEASON: September 13; October 18; November 15; and December 13. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to the Old Town Hall for another wonderful day of music, poetry, comedy and whatever else our Artists want to try out on stage! :) And BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND: our SONGWRITERS WORKSHOP will take place as an all-day Sunday event in February, covering a variety of aspects of songwriting given by pro songwriters. Snacks and lunch will be provided, with lots of time to socialize and share notes. Registration will be required. Watch for details in the new year!

WHAT A FANTASTIC CLOSE-OUT FOR SUMMER HOLIDAYS we had on Sunday, May 31st! Some of our very best and most loved Musicians and Audience joined us for a wonderful afternoon of music, cameraderie and free treats on the house: SCOTT ARENA; GERRY BEST & JEANNIE MEILLEURE; JAMES BRAND; CAT STEVENS; NYLEEN & SANDRA MACNEIL; and a few cool cats! MUSICIANS and AUTHORS - Wi******er Open Mic Cafe will be winding up the season with two more Sundays in May (24 & 31) before we break for summer holidays. We invite you to bring along your merch such as books, CDs or LPs, tickets to an upcoming gig you're doing, to sell to our Audience after you do a set. We never charge a commission and believe in supporting all Artists!

PRAYING FOR A CROWD LIKE THIS TO SHOW UP AT THIS SUNDAY's (MAY 24) WI******ER OPEN MIC CAFE! “A Great Day in Harlem” is the legendary photograph taken by Art Kane on August 12, 1958, capturing 57 of the greatest jazz musicians of the time in front of a Harlem brownstone. The photo includes legends like Count Basie, Thelonious Monk, Dizzy Gillespie, Mary Lou Williams, Charles Mingus, Lester Young, and Sonny Rollins, among many others. DOORS OPEN 2pm - SIDE ENTRANCE - EVERYONE WELCOME!
