C. Melissa Normandin and I were so grateful to be welcomed by the Williams Lake & District Chamber of Commerce at yesterday’s luncheon. Melissa delivered a vibrant presentation on the value of Performances in the Park.

The benefits are far-reaching, from the social, emotional, and physical benefits of arts & culture, to the community value of meeting together weekly for a free event in such a beautiful third space, to the business value that comes from sponsoring such an important community event.

TONIGHT - Interstellar Jays and Signal Point Drum and Dance Group - Season Finale
So. Much. Talent.
This is IT, folks, another incredible season of free, family-friendly LIVE entertainment coming to a close, with some amazing friends featured onstage tonight. The Interstellar Jays are the kind of act that leave you jaw-dropping, asking "how'd they DO that?!" Oh, and they have a deadly drummer by the name of of Dragonfly Sound... just our amazing sound tech shining ONSTAGE for a change.
Lighting up the opening act is Len Supernault, leading his team of Signal Point drummers and showcasing some local Powwow dance stars in the process. If you're a fan of the DRUM, this is your night, Williams Lake.

August 21 - Interstellar Jays & Signal Point Drummers and Dancers - 6 pm
Our closing night will be one to remember, studded with talent, cultural elements, and of course, some really amazing music. Join us for our opening act at 6pm, led by Len Supernault with his group Signal Point Drummers and Dancers., showcasing local Powwow talent. The final act of the summer is one of our favorite and unique acts in the region, Interstellar Jays, blasting us onto the stratospheres of cool. If you've never seen this instrumental group, don't miss out!
Can't wait to celebrate our finale with you, Williams Lake.

August 21 - Len Supernault and Signal Point Drum Group and Dancers - Opening Act
We've been hoping for a night like this, when we can amplify the incredible cultural practitioners of the Powwow circuit. Len Supernault has been involved in Powwow drumming and dancing for three decades, and is bringing together several locals to showcase the beauty and power involved in this art form. Folks, there isn't a much more special way to close out our season. Join us at 6 pm this Thursday to take part in a memorable night!
