Well the ladies and youth breakaway roping is a wrap. Thank you all for attending and congratulations to all the winners.
Jody Traynor won the Average in ladies and Denver Gompf won the average in the youth.

The ladies pay out pot was 14,000 and youths was just under 4000. Great turn out! We will be hosting another in the summer during our annual team roping classic. Stay tuned for the exciting details!

Updated please review the Saturday November 4 th ladies and youth breakaway roping draw. Check in, sign waiver and pay fees by 11 and rope at 12. This event is semi cowboy attire cowboy hats only as it may be chilly so sweater, hoodies etc fine. We will run the youth break away after the top 10 ladies. There will be a canteen open serving lunch, snacks and drinks. The gas bar will be open 10 am-9 pm and trading post 10-5 bear necessities 10-9 please support these businesses without them these events would not be possible. Also we are collecting non-perishable food items for Christmas hampers feel free to bring something. If you see any errors on the draw let us know. We are looking forward to seeing everyone on Saturday. Safe travels

This is happening this weekend. There will be a canteen open both days!

Oly’s will be hosting two ropings as part of clint roping series on Saturday October 28 th at 1 pm and Sunday October 29 @ 10 am. if your not part of series you are still welcome to join for a 25 dollar weekend fee. Fees are 150 ($50 of fees go to stock charge) and it is a round robin format unless entries are big than it be draw 4.
After regular roping the top 10 headers and heelers will do another round to determine saddle series champions.

Oly’s 4 th annual classic team roping jackpot is a wrap. Thank you to all the ropers for a great weekend. Congratulations to the winners.

On behalf of Oly’s rodeo and roping club we thank all the contestants, personnel, cowboys and cowgirls that jumped in to lend a hand, steer contractors, Sam for organizing and Winston Bear for hosting, sponsoring and supporting this event.

Tomorrow we will start with ladies breakaway at 11 am and then do their presentation in arena right after as some of ladies are off to rodeos. Then we will run the senior breakaway right after. The senior team roping will start at 3 but please check in once you arrive. Here is the order for both ladies and senior breakaway. If you already signed a waiver last year it’s still good but we will need all team ropers to check in prior to 3 o’clock to finalize the draw and do few heel draw backs. Any newcomers need to sign the waiver. Thanks and safe travels

4 days until Olys classic team roping action!

Just some information for ropers:
Please park south of the store there is water tanks and some hay available in that Parking area.

We will have breakfast and coffee available Sunday morning and a food truck and beer gardens available both days.

Also the store will be open both days and please remember your support with diesel/gas and confectionery is what helps us to continue to host these events.
So we thank you in advance for your continued support.

Saturday we will start with ladies breakaway roping at 11 am. There are 21 beautiful ladies entered. Then right after ladies we will roll into the senior 50 plus age category. Both breakaway ropings are a 2 head average. Payout will be available right after the senior breakaway and the ladies saddle will be awarded at the same time. We will pay 6 monies.

Then at 3 o’clock we will proceed with our 50 plus team roping. Looks like we are 140 teams in this category. So team ropers please check in and sign waivers at the beer gardens once you arrive so we can confirm the draw. Saddle Awards and cheques will happen after the roping in the beer gardens. We will pay 8 monies as our pot is at 23,000 plus fast time for first round.

Sunday action starts at 9 ish once all the 10 category has checked in. we have done the draw backs for and will pre collect from heelers prior so we can get started on time. Office will be located in beer gardens and will open at 7:30 am. We are at 352 teams just over 82,000 in prize monies so we will still pay 10 holes, plus fast time for first round.

Saddle Awards and cheques will happen shortly after the roping in the beer gardens.
