Kluane National Park and Reserve, along with our partners at The Yukon Arts Centre and the Arctic Institute of North America’s Kluane Lake Research Station are thrilled to welcome our second 2026 Artist in Residence, Christine Dunbar who will join us from September 10 to 24th!

Christine is a beading artist from Yellowknife, Northwest Territories with Inuvialuit, Cree, Ukrainian and Scottish ancestry. Self-taught during the pandemic, she creates work inspired by her culture, modern art, and nature. She holds degrees in Ecosystem Management and has researched muskox habitat in the Northwest Territories.

During her residency, Christine will be offering an Artist Talk on Saturday, September 12th, and two workshops September 13th and September 19th at Kluane’s Northern Nights Festival. For more information, please visit: https://ow.ly/gihL50ZLFOB

A few moments from SISTERS: A Dance and Theatre Show, presented by Dragonfly Collective at the Yukon Arts Centre on September 4.

Led by sisters Jada and Alita Powell, SISTERS was a celebration of sisterhood, growing up in the North, and the bonds that shape us — bringing together dance, theatre and original music by local artists.

The live band featured Lonnie Powell, Marie Gallagher and Marc Tannahill.

Congratulations to everyone involved in this beautiful Yukon-created production.

Sisters was supported by the Residency program which offers in-kind technical space, equipment, and labour to help realize local productions.

We know you’ve been waiting with Antici…pation for the Guild’s big musical on the Yukon Arts Centre Stage! In the new year we are thrilled to bring you Richard O’Brien’s The Rocky Horror Show.

We have been planning this special show for months and of course we were deeply saddened by the recent passing of Tim Curry. We are thinking of this production as a chance to celebrate the brilliance of Tim Curry and this cult classic! Don’t dream it, be it!

If our good friend Ted was here with us, he would be turning a whopping 100 years old this week!

In many ways, with his art and his memories so prevalent in our homes and hearts, it feels like he is.

Happy Birthday Chum!

Our favourite quote is perfect for today:

Theatre in the Bush is back for its 16th year! We are hosting our annual outdoor multimedia theatre/art extravaganza on September 19th at 8pm.

In an effort to give everyone a fair chance to get tickets to the event we are holding a Ticket Lottery. What does this mean you ask? We will take ticket requests through our online form until September 4th and then we will draw names out of a hat.
