Our Annual General Meeting is coming up, and we'd love to have you join us! Hear about Music Yukon's activities over the past year, help us elect new and returning board members, and look toward the future with us. Join us at Road Dogs Music Supply (401 Main Street, Whitehorse) on June 24th. Doors open at 5:30pm, AGM starts at 6:00pm.

Canada's Music Incubator (CMI) is bringing their two-day Financial Literacy program to Whitehorse!

This FREE program fills a longstanding gap in practical, understandable, and accessible financial mentorship specific to the music industry. Sessions will take place June 3rd & 4th at Yukonstruct. Eligible attendees must be 18 years of age or older, actively working in the music industry, and available for both days of the program (10am-4pm).

EDIT: All paid spots for this year's Cookshack Sessions have been filled. Keep an eye out for the lineup of performers and come check out the festivities this summer!

The Cookshack Sessions is celebrating 10 years of bringing unplugged music to Yukon Territorial campgrounds. Created by Yukon Women in Music (YWIM), this series is totally acoustic, family friendly, and facilitated by local women and gender diverse musicians. Each event happens over the course of a weekend and features workshops, community building, a round-robin style concert, and an open jam. This year, you can find events happening June 27th at Twin Lakes, July 25th at Congdon Creek, August 8th at Teslin Lake, and August 22nd at Moose Creek.

SPOTLIGHT: Unknown Mobile

Levi Bruce (Unknown Mobile) has released a brand-new project on Pacific Rhythm entitled Field Work. The project is focused around field recordings taken during the winter and spring of 2025. These recordings come from both his travels abroad while on tour and areas near his home in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory, located on the traditional lands of the Ta’an Kwäch’än Council and Kwanlin Dün First Nation.

Each field recording acts as the basis for a journal entry taken at the location. Raw data was used to reflect on the people, actions, and environmental elements connected to the site through additional production and manipulation.

🌹 SPOTLIGHT: Bria Rose N' Thorns 🌹

Bria Rose N' Thorns embody grit and power. Based out of Whitehorse, Yukon, this Northern Bouquet combines the styles of Tina Turner and Melissa Ethridge into an Indigenous vision. BRNT offer high energy Folk-Rock that drips with authenticity and vulnerability.

Following the release of their debut EP Sprout in 2024, the group is beginning the release of a full-length record Bloom, starting with their first single Rainbow. And to celebrate, they are hosting a huge rainbow-themed bash at Decora in Whitehorse this Saturday April 18th featuring an all indigenous-fronted lineup of artists.
