Whitehorse Concerts was historically one of the first presenters of “outside” music to local audiences. Whitehorse Concerts raised the funds to buy the Steinway Concert Grand piano which was then gifted to the Yukon Arts Centre Corporation for the use of the whole community. The vision behind Whitehorse Concerts’ programming is to expose excellent musicianship in the classical genre to as many peo

ple as possible, including those in outlying communities, music students, school children. Also to further musical education by offering master classes, workshops and private lessons with visiting artists and arranging pre-concert lectures and salon concerts. Our mandate: “To Foster the Appreciation of Live Classical Music in the Yukon”
