During classes at Smash Theatre School, students work on all aspects of theatre: movement, diction, scene study, musicality, choreography, theatre sport, improvisation, etc. To encourage the growth of our students, we work in both small group settings and full group collaboration. Students start at their own individual level, building on their unique skill set as the program progresses. All the wh

ile, the group works together as a cohesive unit to create our end result - a full-length musical production. There is no audition necessary to join our school. Learning doesn’t just take place in a classroom. It also occurs through rehearsals and performance. Being a part of an exciting show allows the students to learn the inner workings of being in a theatre and valuable lessons in stage etiquette. ​One of our favorite memories from Matilda Jr. was our backstage character photo shoot! Watching our Junior Company step out of their rehearsal clothes and completely transform into the citizens of Crunchem Hall was pure magic.

A HUGE congratulations to our incredible Sparks, Rising Stars, and Junior Company!

We can’t believe we are already down to our final performance of this spectacular Season Finale Double Feature. Watching our youngest snowmen find their magic in Disney’s Frozen KIDS and our company rebels completely change their story in Matilda Jr. has been an absolute dream.

To our students: you have poured so much energy, effort, and pure talent into this weekend. We are so immensely proud of every single one of you!
