Tonight (Fri Jul 31) at the White Rock Elks, along with the fantastic music of the dance band "Replay", you may purchase a beef burger ($15) or a salmon burger ($17). Burgers include a Caesar Salad. Burgers are available from 5 pm to 7 pm, then a Members and Meat Draw at 6 pm. Dancing tonight is from 7 to 10 pm.

Well done Team Canada! We're all so proud of you and all you've accomplished this year at the World Cup.

It was a great watch party this morning with over 20 people there. And even though we didn't get the result we wanted in the Morocco game today, you gave it your all, and despite controlling the play for much of the game and having many chances you weren't quite able to best Morocco. We know you gave it everything you had!

Not sure who we should cheer for now, but we know that the remaining games in the 2026 World Cup will also be exciting.

We look forward to Team Canada qualifying for the next World Cup in four years time in Morocco, Portugal, Spain and three matches in Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay (in honour of the 100th Anniversary of the first World Cup in Uruguay held in Montevideo in 1930).

Happy Canada day photos from the White Rock Elks. :) What a great event! Thanks so much to everyone for all their help setting up, cooking, cleaning, taking everything down and to our band "Brandall" for all the wonderful music and dancing!

A quick message to let everyone know that there won't be a watch party at the WR Elks for the Sunday June 28 World Cup game between Canada and South Africa, as our space is rented out at that time. That being said, there is a BlueGrass Jam in our Lounge on Sunday afternoon from 3 to 5 pm. This will be the final Jam before the July/August break. The BlueGrass Jam will restart in September.

A reminder that our popular and well attended Canada Day BBQ and Dance Celebration is on this coming Wednesday July 1st from 2 to 8 pm. Come early to get a table (first come first served). Get a BBQ'd burger or hotdog while they last. Dance music by our favourite band "Brandall" from 4 to 8 pm.

Last but not least, our members' draw (which is held in our lounge every Friday at 6 pm) hasn't been won for a while, so it's up to $185 this coming Friday July 3 at 6 pm sharp. Be nice to win that tidy sum. You must be there at 6 pm if your name is drawn. Our amazing meat draw is held after the members draw (proceeds benefit our WR Elks charities). This coming Friday July 3rd the entertainment is the fantastic "Colin Re Duo".

Canada vs Switzerland - World Cup - Wed Jun24 at 11:30 am

We're having a "watch" party in the White Rock Elks upstairs lounge for the World Cup soccer game between Canada and Switzerland on Wednesday June 24, 2026 starting at 11:30 am. The game starts at noon and will last approximately 2 hours.

The bar will be open during the "watch" party (Members and guests - Guests must be signed in by a member). Pizza will be available for purchase at 12:30 pm.
