- The Elks Recreational Children’s Camp Society
- Elks & Royal Purple Fund for Children
- BC Family Hearing Resource Society

Hello White Rock/South Surrey Community!

Join the Lower Mainland Green team in an upcoming event in the great outdoors. Make new friends & have fun outside tackling the easiest invasive plant to remove, Small Balsam, on Sat. June 13th at Ruth Johnson Park in White Rock!

We’d love your help to bring your community closer together, invite you to join us, and ask for your help to spread the word about this community event to your networks.

🙋‍♀️ NO Experience Needed, all ages & abilities welcome! Bring your friends, colleagues & family and come for as little or as long as you’re able!

This activity is brought to you by the Lower Mainland Green Team & the City of White Rock!

🪏 What: Remove easy-to-pull invasive plant Small Balsam! Just pluck it out of the ground!

White Rock Elks #431 was proud to host the White Rock Youth Ambassadors “Meet the Candidates” for 2026 yesterday! It was a huge success with various dignitaries present including MP Ernie Klassen, White Rock City Councillor Susan Mahal-Bains, and White Rock Mayor Megan Knight.

Thanks to all the Elks involved for all your help in making this event a success! The TV worked very well to help make the presentation a huge success. Kudos to all involved in enhancing the hall downstairs with special kudos to Kelly McKay and John Keller for your technical support!

Candidates were presented with their sponsor banners by their corporate or social service agency supporting their journey. These special individuals are mentoring, guiding and cheering on their youth leader toward success!

Scott Kristjanson, as the Elks new Charity Chair, and Al Burns as Elks Past-President and Events Committee Chair, had the honour of representing the Elks by presenting our Sponsor Cheque to the WRYA for $1000. Thank you Elks for your generous support! It was also my honour to present the Elks Sponsor banner to Elks candidate Arnav Yadow.
